Position Overview

The Oklahoma Children’s Hospital and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine invite applications for a full-time Academic Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist. This opportunity is with Oklahoma’s only congenital heart disease surgical program and a rapidly expanding pediatric heart center providing quaternary-level care.

The section seeks a motivated, team-oriented physician who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and is committed to excellence in patient care, education, and academic growth. Candidates with additional pediatric cardiac anesthesia experience or training are welcomed; candidates with strong pediatric anesthesia experience and a passion for congenital heart disease will also be considered and supported.

Job Requirements

  • MD/DO
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology
  • Eligible for permanent, unrestricted Oklahoma medical licensure
  • Additional training or experience in pediatric cardiac anesthesia is preferred but not required

About the Role

Join a high-performing pediatric cardiac anesthesia team that provides perioperative care for:

  • 500+ cases annually, including VAD and pediatric heart transplant
  • All congenital heart disease surgical procedures
  • Cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) cases
  • Non-cardiac surgeries for patients with heart disease

You will work alongside pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists and CRNAs within a growing Heart Center.
