Psychiatrist General Adult Inpatient

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist, you will provide inpatient care at Lasting Hope Recovery Center in Omaha, Nebraska, alongside psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.

This full-time, in-person role is based in a 64-bed facility and offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with participation in a reasonable one-weekend-per-month call rotation. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting daily patient rounds and developing comprehensive treatment plans
• Managing admissions, discharges, and consultations
• Performing medication management and thorough psychiatric assessments
• Occasionally providing clinical supervision and instruction for psychiatry residents and fellows

Success is measured through clinical effectiveness, patient outcomes, and contributions to the unit. This includes stabilizing acute psychiatric symptoms, facilitating safe and timely discharges with appropriate aftercare plans, achieving patient and family satisfaction, adhering to best practices and ethical guidelines, mentoring trainees, and participating in quality-improvement initiatives.

Benefits and Compensation

• Guaranteed two-year base salary
• Starting bonus
• Relocation assistance for eligible new hires
• Pay range: $315,000–$315,000 per year
• Loan repayment and bonuses negotiable

Job Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Adult Psychiatry
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Active or eligible to obtain an unrestricted Iowa license
• DEA in good standing with no restrictions
• BLS
• Record of excellence in clinical care and education
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
