Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a General Cardiologist, you will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will perform advanced diagnostic and imaging studies, collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, and contribute to clinical excellence, research, innovation, and medical education.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions
  • Perform and interpret advanced cardiovascular imaging and diagnostic studies
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services
  • Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Participate in the continued growth and development of a nationally recognized cardiovascular program
  • Utilize innovative technologies and evidence-based treatment approaches to optimize patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with service line partners on clinical research initiatives, quality-improvement projects, and best-practice sharing
  • Participate in a cardiovascular program recognized as a TAVR, TEER, AFIB, Watchman, and LAAO Center of Excellence
  • Work alongside Advanced Practice Providers supporting the cardiology service line
  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities
  • Contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care

Job Requirements

Required

  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Nebraska

Preferred

  • Interest in academic medicine, research, and medical education
