Spreetail is looking for an operational Learning and Development Manager whose core mission is to ensure teams are safe, highly skilled, and built to stay. This is a hands-on role embedded on the fulfillment center floor, owning end-to-end onboarding and safety culture for the facility. The role connects training quality directly to warehouse efficiency, accident reduction, and associate retention.

How you will achieve success

Make Safety the Standard

  • Build and sustain a safety-first culture at your home FC and across every site in your regional assignment
  • Lead safety training, conduct walk-throughs, reinforce safe behaviors, and drive near-miss reporting culture

Own Onboarding Quality

  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve the onboarding experience at your home FC
  • Ensure every new associate and leader is prepared for success

Build and Maintain the Training Library

  • Develop, document, and own training programs, SOPs, and job instructions that define the operating model
  • Ensure materials are accurate, accessible, and actively used

Drive Compliance Across Your Region

  • Audit training completion and safety compliance at home and assigned regional FCs
  • Identify gaps, build corrective plans, track completion, and hold sites accountable
  • Travel within region a minimum of 25%

Build a Culture That Retains People

  • Develop and execute retention programs through development, recognition, and engagement
  • Use onboarding quality and learning culture as primary retention levers

Connect Learning to Operational Performance

  • Partner with site leadership to identify execution gaps linked to training
  • Build targeted interventions to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
  • Measure impact of training initiatives

Deploy When the Network Needs You

  • Provide direct operational support during high onboarding volume or critical initiatives
  • Join Away Team deployments regardless of home FC

Support Facility Launches

  • Stand up training infrastructure, onboarding programs, and safety culture for new fulfillment centers

What experiences will help you in this role

  • Multiple years of progressive experience in high-volume fulfillment, manufacturing, or distribution; e-commerce expertise preferred
  • 3+ years in leadership developing frontline associates and supervisors
  • Proven track record building safety-first cultures
  • Hands-on experience building or managing training programs and onboarding curriculum in operational environments
  • Demonstrated ability to improve retention and engagement in high-velocity warehouse environments
  • Experience working across multiple sites or functions and building trust quickly
  • Strong ability to document complex operational processes into clear SOPs and training materials
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% within assigned region and deploy to critical-need facilities
