Spreetail is looking for a driven and adaptable Area Manager to join the Away Team — a small, high-impact group designed to support facility launches, crisis response, and network-wide operations excellence. This is not a traditional site-based role. You will be embedded across the fulfillment center network, learning the operating model from the ground up and deploying where support is needed most.

This role is built for someone who thrives in change, learns fast, and wants a clear path to site ownership. When a new fulfillment center opens, you will transition into permanent leadership there with the skills and operational knowledge to lead from day one.

How will you achieve success

  • Embed in assigned fulfillment centers during onboarding, contributing to daily inbound and outbound operations while building deep fluency in the operating model.
  • Deploy into focus or crisis facilities when the Away Team is activated, providing rapid operational support to stabilize performance and accelerate recovery.
  • Hold regular 1:1s with Leads to maximize training opportunities, address concerns, and support fulfillment center team member development.
  • Identify and drive process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
  • Champion a safety-first culture by identifying unsafe behaviors or hazards and treating near-misses as learning opportunities.
  • Travel to assigned or activated facilities a minimum of 25% of the time, with potential for increased travel based on network needs.
  • Prepare to transition into a permanent Area Manager role at a new fulfillment center.
