EHS Manager

Spreetail’s Safety team protects employees by driving a proactive safety culture across fulfillment center operations. The Safety Manager owns both strategic oversight and daily execution of safety programs, maintaining a strong floor presence through audits, investigations, training, and compliance management.
How you will achieve success
- Ownership of key ORIR & LTI rates, currently trending at or below industry benchmarks for warehouse and e-fulfillment operations.
- Analyze safety data, support Operations teams in determining root causes, and drive corrective and preventative actions to completion.
- Ensure every OSHA recordable is documented accurately, investigated thoroughly, and corrective actions are closed on time.
- Support P&C in ensuring new hire and PIT safety training completion is at or above 95% for all associates and departments.
- Ensure onboarding safety training is completed before a new hire’s first shift on the floor.
- Conduct monthly safety audits, score results, and track open items to closure.
- Maintain emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and first aid resources across all shifts.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, modified duty programs, and timely reporting.
What experiences will help you in this role
- 3+ years of safety or EHS experience, ideally in a production, warehouse, distribution center, or e-fulfillment environment.
- Formal or extensive regulatory experience and exposure.
- Responsibility for OSHA 300 logs, complaints, and onsite support.
- Experience supporting multi-shift operations, including night or weekend shifts.
- Direct, hands-on experience conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Proven ability to own and execute integrated safety programs independently.
- Comfortable working as a floor-level presence with significant time spent on the warehouse floor.
