EHS Manager

Mid

Savannah, GA

The Safety team exists to protect Spreetail’s most important asset — our people. The Safety Manager drives a proactive safety culture by owning both the strategic oversight and the hands-on, day-to-day execution of safety programs across the fulfillment center. This role is a floor-level presence that conducts walk-throughs, leads incident investigations, delivers training, and ensures compliance is actively practiced. In the absence of dedicated Safety Supervisors, the Safety Manager carries out the full breadth of responsibilities required to keep every associate safe and every program audit-ready.

How you will achieve success:

  • Ownership of key ORIR & LTI rates — own the data, support Operations in determining root cause, and drive corrective and preventative actions to completion.
  • Ensure every OSHA recordable is documented accurately, investigated thoroughly, and corrective actions are closed on time.
  • Support P&C in maintaining at least 95% completion of new hire and PIT safety training before first shift.
  • Conduct, score, and track monthly safety audits to closure — drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain current emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and first aid resources across all shifts.
  • Actively manage workers’ compensation claims, utilize modified duty programs, and reduce costs.

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • 3+ years of safety or EHS experience in production, warehouse, distribution, or e-fulfillment environments.
  • Formal regulatory experience including responsibility for OSHA 300 logs, complaints, and onsite support.
  • Experience supporting multi-shift operations, including nights or weekends.
  • Hands-on experience conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Proven ability to independently own and execute integrated safety programs.
  • Comfortable working primarily on the warehouse floor.

What you can expect:

  • Flexible work culture with generous vacation policy, paid wedding week leave, and paid parental leave.
  • Recognition programs including milestone rewards and Spotlight Awards.
  • Affordable medical, dental, and vision plans with nationwide coverage, plus free telehealth and mental health resources.
  • Paid time off to give back and make a social impact.
  • Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
