Description

Locum tenens Nurse Practitioner role in Emergency Medicine at an acute care hospital. The assignment runs for 13 weeks starting 01-04-27 and includes scheduled 8-hour night coverage plus on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions.

• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.

• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.

• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements

• MSN degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics).

• Active and unencumbered APRN license in Tennessee.

• National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP).

• Experience: at least one year in a clinical setting relevant to the specialty (preferred).
