Description

This locum Emergency Medicine NP assignment provides temporary coverage for staffing needs in an acute care hospital. You will conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide medication management and patient counseling. Care must be documented accurately and coordinated with physicians and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

• MSN degree focused on an NP specialty
• Active and unencumbered APRN license in Wyoming
• National NP certification in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP)
• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience (preferred)
