Description

Locum Tenens Pediatric Oncology Nurse Practitioner role at a children’s facility with scheduled, no-call coverage. The assignment runs for 26 weeks starting 01-11-27 with 07:00–17:00 shifts. You’ll provide patient assessment and oncology-focused management including treatment planning, diagnostics, prescribing, education, coordinated care, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions

• Provide patient education and counseling

• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers

• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

• MSN degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., pediatrics)

• Active, unencumbered APRN license in California

• National NP certification in a relevant specialty area (e.g., AANP)

• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience (preferred)
