Description

You will provide primary care coverage as a locum tenens Nurse Practitioner in a float pool setting. The assignment is scheduled only (no call) and includes patient assessments, treatment planning, diagnostics, medication management, and coordinated care. You will document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly while working with physicians and other providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions

• Develop individualized treatment plans

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions

• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices

• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and the NP specialty

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers for coordinated care

• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

• MSN degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics)

• Active and unencumbered Indiana APRN license

• National NP certification in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body

• Clinical experience in a setting relevant to the specialty (at least 1 year preferred)
