Description

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. You will take histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostics, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and document care accurately. Responsibilities include procedures as authorized, patient education, and coordinated teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care under physician supervision

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care

• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current with medical advancements via continuing education

Requirements

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from an accredited program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in Tennessee

• NCCPA national certification

• Preferred: at least 1 year of clinical experience in emergency medicine
