Description

Provide comprehensive primary care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. You will take patient histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, perform authorized procedures, educate patients on preventative care, and document records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care under physician supervision

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians for coordinated care

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in Connecticut

• NCCPA national certification

• Preferred: at least 1 year of clinical experience in the relevant specialty
