Description

Provide comprehensive primary care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician during a temporary 13-week locum tenens assignment. You’ll handle patient assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning, medication management, authorized procedures, preventive-care counseling, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care under physician supervision

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in Washington

• NCCPA national certification

• Preferred: at least 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty
