Description

Provide comprehensive primary care under the supervision of a licensed physician during a temporary locum assignment. You will assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, perform authorized procedures, and maintain accurate medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient histories and perform physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe medications
• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician
• Educate and counsel patients on preventive care and health management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly
• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS (Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) degree from an accredited program
• Active and unencumbered PA license in Oklahoma
• NCCPA national certification
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in primary care (preferred)
