Description

This locum Physician Assistant role provides scheduled primary care coverage in a facility using a float pool model. You will evaluate patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, perform authorized procedures, and document care. Work includes collaborating with physicians and the broader care team to support coordinated patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under licensed physician supervision

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician

• Educate and counsel patients on preventive care and health management

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care

• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly

• Stay current on advancements in medicine through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited program

• Active, unencumbered PA license in Ohio

• NCCPA national certification

• 1+ year of clinical experience in the specialty is preferred
