Description

Provide comprehensive primary care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. Perform histories and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and document care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medications

• Perform authorized procedures in accordance with state regulations and supervising physician direction

• Educate and counsel patients on preventive care and health management

• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Active and unencumbered PA license in Indiana

• NCCPA national certification
