Description

Locum Primary Care Physician Assistant role in Philadelphia providing comprehensive medical care under physician supervision. You will handle patient histories and physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and document care. You’ll collaborate with the healthcare team to support coordinated preventive and ongoing patient health management.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under physician supervision
• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe medications
• Perform authorized procedures per state regulations and the supervising physician
• Educate and counsel patients on preventive care and health management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly
• Stay current on medical advancements through continuing education

Requirements

• MPAS degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active and unencumbered PA license in Pennsylvania
• NCCPA national certification
• At least one year of clinical experience in primary care (preferred)
