Description

Remote Backend Software Developer supporting USAF mission needs, including analytical support for process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition. You will perform back-end engineering for architectures and integrations, RESTful API development, and database/data model development and optimization. The role is contingent upon award and requires TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations

• Design, develop, and modify RESTful APIs

• Manage databases and develop/optimize data models

• Support system integrations, including workflows that connect unclassified and classified deployments

• Prepare, conduct, and document systems tests

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance; ability to obtain CI Poly

• 7+ years overall experience in the functional area; Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s substitutes for 2 years)

• 7+ years software development experience with object-oriented and scripted languages plus DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites

• 3+ years recent back-end web design and development

• 3+ years testing web-based applications; 3+ years using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

• 5+ years experience with Jenkins and GitLab

• 3+ years participating in software development programs or projects

• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment

• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments

• Demonstrated relational database and RESTful API development/communication and system integration experience

• 3+ years experience with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux

• 5+ years experience with at least five of: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube
