Description

You will develop backend-focused software and data processing tools that help mission operations run efficiently. Responsibilities include building data transforms across text, JSON, XML, databases, and configuration files, and enhancing performance of application and data processing. You will also support mission-critical servers and applications in production while collaborating with analysts and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop data transforms across multiple formats (text, JSON, XML, databases, configuration files)

• Gather feature requests and application requirements

• Explore new data sets with analysts to define the right questions and approaches

• Build and improve tools to increase application and data processing performance

• Manage and support mission-critical servers and applications (server framework development and system administration)

Requirements

• Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (additional 4 years of experience may substitute)

• 8–11 years of software development experience

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Experience with Pandas or Polars

• Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• Familiarity with Git and GitLab

• Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript and React (or similar modern front-end framework)

• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers

• Experience supporting applications and servers in production
