Description

You will help manage webcams from around the world by reviewing new submissions for quality and value, verifying their source links, and supporting basic work on the website source code. You’ll determine webcam locations and directions, monitor webcam functionality, and perform regular updates to ensure current imagery. The role also involves working with maps, satellite images, and Google Street View.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve newly added webcams, assessing quality and contribution

• Find and verify webcam source links

• Perform basic source-code work on the webpage using Developer Tools

• Determine webcam location and direction; identify the places captured

• Check webcam functionality and regularly update webcam imagery

• Work with maps, satellite imagery, and Google Street View

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and reliable; able to work independently

• Technical reasoning and comfort with web apps, URLs, and basic browser tools

• Ability to navigate maps and have basic geographic awareness

• Efficient research skills and ability to reason through ambiguous situations

• English proficiency for foreign web pages
