Description

You will manage, document, and continuously improve the IT infrastructure across office, mobile workstations, and data center locations. You will coordinate IT projects, integrate applications with servers, gateways, and virtual desktops, and help design and implement data security measures with IT leadership. You will also provide first- and second-level IT support for employees when needed and steer external vendors providing 3rd-level support.

Responsibilities

• Administration, documentation, and continuous development of the IT infrastructure
• Collaboration with other IT areas to improve the scientific IT structure
• Coordination and control of ongoing IT projects
• Integration of applications with associated servers, gateways, and virtual desktops
• Design and implementation of data security measures with IT leadership
• Management of external service providers for 3rd-level support
• First- and second-level support for employees when needed

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification with several years of experience
• Practical experience in planning and administering IT systems
• Team orientation and strong IT interest
• Willingness to take on leadership responsibilities; strong analytical and communication skills
• Independent, structured, reliable working style; high engagement and motivation
• Ideally knowledge of scalable storage systems, replication topologies, backup systems, enterprise WLAN management, centralized monitoring systems, and centralized firewall management
