Description

You will administer, further develop, and monitor the company’s internal network and hardware infrastructure, including a virtualized server environment based on Hyper-V and Windows Server/AD. The role emphasizes IT security (MFA, encryption, certificates, AD hardening, firewalls, monitoring, log analysis) and reliable backup processes. You will also support future IT infrastructure design, respond to alerts, apply patches with functional testing, and keep documentation up to date.

Responsibilities

• Administer, further develop, and monitor internal network and hardware infrastructure
• Maintain and expand virtualized server environment (Hyper-V, Windows Server AD, Azure)
• Handle site networking (VPN tunnel, firewall configuration, VLAN)
• Ensure and optimize IT security and backup processes (Veeam)
• Expand monitoring and maintain documented responses to alerts
• Conceptualize and implement future IT infrastructure
• Select and procure new hardware, software, and licenses
• Install patches promptly and run functional tests afterward
• Process tickets from internal departments and employees
• Continuously maintain and update documentation

Requirements

• Degree in Informatics or completed training as IT specialist (system integration)
• Multi-year experience in network and server administration
• Long-term experience administering Microsoft environments
• Significant experience in IT security (MFA, encryption, certificates, AD hardening, firewalls, monitoring, log analysis) and creating/implementing security concepts
• Experience building corporate networks (cabling, VLAN configuration)
• Knowledge of server virtualization (Hyper-V)
• Independent, structured, and service-oriented work style
• Willingness for ongoing professional development
• German negotiation-level and English advanced knowledge
