• Role: IT Systems Administrator (full-time, permanent)

Description

You will be responsible for the stable operation of a Windows-based IT infrastructure that supports 1,000+ jobs. The job focuses on administering Windows servers and clients, maintaining and improving a VMware virtualization environment, monitoring systems, and analyzing and fixing incidents. You will also support end users with technical issues (near 2nd-level) and help run central applications such as Microsoft Exchange.

Responsibilities

• Administration and support of the Windows server environment
• Administration and continuous improvement of the VMware virtualization environment
• Care and development of the central IT infrastructure
• Monitor systems, analyze incidents, and resolve issues
• Support and maintain Microsoft Exchange and other central applications
• Install, configure, replace, and repair client devices and end equipment
• Help employees with technical questions and disruptions
• Perform root-cause analysis and solution finding for 2nd-level-near end-user support
• Support IT projects and the rollout/ongoing development of hardware and software
• Collaborate with external IT service providers and internal points of contact

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT specialist (System Integration) or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in system administration / IT infrastructure
• Practical knowledge in administering Microsoft Windows environments
• Experience with virtualization, ideally VMware
• Knowledge of administering and troubleshooting server, client, and network environments
• Confident handling of Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Office and common Windows applications
• Structured and solution-oriented working style
• Enjoy working with users to solve technical problems
• Willingness to learn new technologies and systems
