Description

You will take technical product responsibility for an industrial asset management product: develop features, make architecture decisions, and translate customer requirements into actionable product planning for the US market.

You will collaborate with an international team to build a scalable, multi-tenant application, manage backlog/releases, and ensure product quality across secure APIs, tenant isolation, data modeling, and operational dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own product engineering for an industrial Anlagenmanagementsystem; lead architecture decisions and feature delivery

• Work with international stakeholders to plan and scale a multi-tenant product rollout in the USA

• Gather and assess requirements with customers, leadership, and engineering; evaluate value, feasibility, and effort; manage backlog, releases, and quality

• Extend multi-tenant asset data structures for sites, lines, machines, components, documents, QR codes, histories, and responsibilities

• Model end-to-end preventive/corrective maintenance workflows, diagnostic trees/alerts, work orders, spare parts, and service history

• Implement multi-tenant isolation with Row-Level Security, roles/permissions, UAH IAM integration, OAuth/OIDC, secure APIs, and auditability

• Build service APIs and integrations to ticketing systems and UAH Connect; plan integrations with ERP/MES/CMMS and industrial data sources

• Turn KPIs (KOP, OEE, MTBF/MTTR, downtime) into usable dashboards and decision support

• Integrate document and machine knowledge for structured service processes, diagnostics assistance, and optionally language agents

• Set up data migrations, automated tests, code reviews, CI/CD, documentation, observability, and reliable releases

• Communicate in English with US customers and international colleagues; incorporate insights from occasional US visits

• Set priorities independently, deliver pragmatically, seek early feedback, and take responsibility when issues arise

Requirements

• Several years of senior-level professional software development with responsibility for productive, complex web or SaaS products

• Very strong TypeScript, React, and Next.js (App Router) skills; backend API and PostgreSQL relational data modeling experience

• Practical experience with multi-tenancy (tenant capability), authentication/authorization, secure data isolation, migrations, and stable production systems

• Ability to independently make and justify architecture decisions and implement major features

• Product thinking and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with asset management, maintenance, field service, or comparable complex B2B processes; ideally with a delivered product

• Strong German and business-fluent English (spoken and written) for collaboration with US customers and international teams

• Solid software engineering principles, learning ability, and experience shipping productive software

• Knowledge of every existing framework is not required, but learning the stack is expected
