Description

You will take ownership of an established Anaplan-based commercial and financial planning platform used across multiple international markets. The product supports annual business planning, financial forecasting, trade investments, customer profitability, and revenue growth initiatives. This is a genuine product ownership opportunity focused on the platform’s long-term evolution, not a short-term implementation assignment.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously evolve the product roadmap, aligning priorities with commercial strategy and financial planning objectives

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog (epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria) using Azure DevOps or similar tools

• Collect, challenge, and translate business requirements from commercial finance, sales, and revenue growth teams into actionable enhancements

• Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams; communicate priorities and manage expectations

• Plan releases with solution architects and Agile delivery teams; validate solutions and ensure successful deployments

• Coordinate user acceptance testing, validate delivered functionality, and approve features for production releases

• Collaborate across product teams to ensure alignment across commercial planning, customer management, financial systems, and enterprise data platforms

• Monitor product performance, address recurring issues, and prioritize improvements based on user feedback and business impact

• Support change management, training, and user adoption across international markets

• Define and track KPIs for planning efficiency, forecast accuracy, trade investment visibility, and overall product effectiveness

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in commercial systems, financial planning, enterprise applications, or consulting

• At least 4 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Lead Consultant for enterprise planning solutions

• Strong understanding of commercial and financial planning processes, including budgeting, annual business planning, financial forecasting, customer/brand profitability, trade investment planning, promotional spending, financial accruals, and integration of commercial/sales/finance planning

• Proven experience with product roadmaps, Agile backlogs, and software delivery processes

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable product management tools

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior leaders and distributed international teams

• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills

• Fluent English

• Experience in at least one of the following areas (ideally two): Anaplan model development; Anaplan implementation; trade promotion management systems (e.g., Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud, SAP, Visualfabriq, Exceedra); revenue growth management product ownership; financial planning product ownership
