Description

Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician needed for an inpatient-only hospital medicine practice providing comprehensive inpatient care to hospitalized adult patients. The role includes admissions, daily rounds, inpatient consultations as appropriate, and safe discharge planning with timely clinical documentation using a fully integrated Epic electronic health record. No procedures are required, though opportunities may be available for physicians interested in procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories and physical examinations on admitted patients

• Manage hospitalized adult patients throughout their inpatient stay

• Conduct daily rounds and coordinate care with consulting specialists and the interdisciplinary care team

• Provide inpatient consultations as appropriate

• Develop safe, efficient discharge plans and perform discharge evaluations

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

• Support quality, patient safety, and clinical improvement initiatives as appropriate

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania
