Description

You will examine, diagnose, and treat patients in general practice, ensuring consistent delivery of quality care. The role includes collecting and maintaining accurate patient information, documenting medical history and clinical plans, ordering and interpreting tests and diagnostic imaging, prescribing treatments, vaccinating patients, and advising on prevention and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
• Provide routine patient care and rehabilitation
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information
• Document past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment, and plan
• Order and interpret tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging
• Administer and prescribe treatments
• Order lab and imaging tests to support an immediate treatment plan
• Vaccinate patients against communicable diseases
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Consult appropriate medical specialists and refer within the network when necessary

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited college or university required
• New York State licensure required
• Board Eligible and/or Certified required
• Demonstrated clinical excellence
• Nursing home experience strongly preferred
