Description

Provide daily primary care including examining, diagnosing, and treating patients, while maintaining accurate records and documentation. You will order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging, administer or prescribe treatments, and provide vaccination and preventive health counseling. Specialists will be consulted and referrals made within the network when needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients

• Diagnose and treat a variety of diseases in general practice

• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information

• Document past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment, and plan

• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging

• Analyze reports and findings to diagnose conditions

• Administer or prescribe treatments

• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan

• Vaccinate patients to immunize against communicable diseases

• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention methods

• Consult specialists when necessary and refer to subspecialists within the network

• Provide diagnostic healthcare services to patients of all ages

Requirements

• MD or Doctor

• Board Certified or Board Eligible

• Successful completion of an approved residency training program

• Active license

• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License

• Current DEA registration

• Current Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing

• Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
