Description

Provide daily primary care including examining, diagnosing, and treating patients, documenting complete histories and care plans, and ordering and using diagnostic testing such as labs and imaging. Manage preventive care for patients of all ages, including vaccinations and counseling on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention. Specialist consultation and referrals within the network are expected as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information
• Document histories (past medical, family, social), review of systems, exams, medications, allergies, and assessment/plan
• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging
• Analyze reports/findings and make diagnoses
• Administer or prescribe treatments
• Order lab and imaging tests to guide immediate treatment plans
• Vaccinate patients
• Advise on diet, hygiene, and prevention methods
• Consult appropriate specialists and refer patients within the network
• Provide diagnostic healthcare services for patients of all ages

Requirements

• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or Doctor
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Successful completion of an approved residency training program
• Active license
• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License
• Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing
• Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
