Description

Provide continuum quality routine patient care and rehabilitation. You will examine, diagnose, and treat patients, document histories and clinical findings, and order/interpret tests to guide care. You’ll also deliver preventive services like vaccinations and provide counseling on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
• Ensure quality of care commitments are met
• Diagnose and treat a variety of diseases in general practice
• Examine patients using medical instruments and equipment
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information
• Document past medical, family, and social history; review of systems; exams; medications; allergies; assessment and plan
• Order or perform tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging
• Analyze test reports and exam findings to diagnose conditions
• Administer or prescribe treatments
• Order lab and imaging tests to manage an immediate treatment plan
• Vaccinate patients to immunize against communicable diseases
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Consult specialists when necessary and refer patients within the network

Requirements

• Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university
• New York State licensure, Board Eligible and/or Certified
• Demonstrated clinical excellence
• Nursing Home experience strongly preferred
