Description

Provide primary care for pediatric patients, including diagnosis and treatment of common childhood ailments, preventative care (including vaccine recommendations), and appropriate referrals. Maintain accurate records of patients’ health and developmental information and communicate patients’ health, nutrition, and fitness needs to their guardians.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common childhood ailments and minor injuries
• Recommend patients for further treatment and to specialists when needed
• Provide preventative care, including vaccine recommendations
• Record and maintain patients’ health and development information
• Communicate patients’ health, nutritional, and fitness needs to guardians

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited United States medical school
• Successful completion of residency (or completed U.S. residency or 5-year pathway)
• Active NY License
• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License
• Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing
• Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting
• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating to ensure positive, effective patient experiences
• Bilingual Spanish
