Description

Provide pediatric primary care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, including routine checkups, diagnosis and treatment of common childhood conditions, and preventive care such as vaccinations. Maintain accurate records of patients’ growth and development and communicate clearly with guardians about health, nutritional, and fitness needs. Coordinate referrals to specialists and collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common childhood ailments and minor injuries
• Recommend further treatments and refer patients to specialists when needed
• Provide preventive care, including vaccine recommendations
• Record and maintain patients’ health and development information
• Communicate effectively with guardians about health, nutrition, and fitness needs

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. medical school
• Successful completion of residency or a completed U.S. residency/5-year pathway
• Active NY License; current New York State Medical Practitioner License
• Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing (may be obtained during credentialing)
• Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting
• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating to ensure effective patient experiences
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
