• Role: Pediatrician (primary care for children and young adults)

Description

Provide primary care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, including routine checkups, diagnosis and treatment of common childhood ailments, and preventative care such as vaccines. Maintain and record patients’ health and development information, and communicate health, nutritional, and fitness needs to guardians. Refer patients for further treatment and to specialists when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common childhood ailments and minor injuries

• Recommend patients for further treatments and to specialists when needed

• Provide preventative care, including vaccine recommendations

• Record and maintain patients’ health and development information

• Communicate patients’ health, nutritional, and fitness needs to guardians

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. medical school

• Successful completion of residency (or completed U.S. residency or 5-year pathway)

• Active NY license; Current New York State Medical Practitioner License

• Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing

• Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting

• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating to ensure positive patient experiences

• Bilingual Spanish preferred
