Description

A dedicated and experienced gynecologist is needed to diagnose and treat patients’ gynecological conditions. The role includes breast examinations, prescribing appropriate medications, identifying malignant tumors in the female reproductive system, and advising patients on coping with menopause and perimenopause. You’ll also stay current with advances in gynecology, communicate clearly, solve problems effectively, and maintain doctor-patient confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual and regular gynecological examinations to diagnose conditions

• Record and update patients’ medical histories

• Advise patients on suitable birth control options

• Perform diagnostic tests including Pap smears, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone profile blood tests, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies

• Explain test results, diagnoses, and treatment options

• Perform gynecological surgeries/procedures such as cervical cryosurgeries, dilation and curettages, pelvic laparoscopies, and sterilizations

• Refer patients to other healthcare specialists as needed

• Educate patients on reproductive health issues and disease prevention

Requirements

• MD or DO degree

• State license to practice medicine

• Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Proven experience working as a gynecologist

• Ability to make quick decisions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills

• Empathetic and compassionate
