Description

A dedicated and experienced gynecologist is needed to diagnose and treat gynecological conditions in an outpatient setting. The role includes breast examinations, prescribing medications, identifying malignant tumors, and advising patients on coping with menopause and perimenopause symptoms. The physician must stay current with gynecology best practices, explain findings and treatment options, and maintain doctor-patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual and regular gynecologic examinations
• Record and update patients’ medical histories
• Advise patients on birth control options
• Perform diagnostic testing including Pap smears, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone profile blood tests, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies
• Explain test results, diagnoses, and treatment options
• Perform gynecologic procedures and surgeries including cervical cryosurgery, dilation and curettage, pelvic laparoscopies, and sterilizations
• Refer patients to other specialists when needed
• Educate patients on reproductive health issues and disease prevention

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• State license to practice medicine
• Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience working as a gynecologist
• Ability to make quick decisions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Empathetic and compassionate
