Description

Breast Surgeon position providing comprehensive screening, diagnosis, and surgical treatment for breast-related conditions, including benign lumps and breast cancer. Perform procedures such as core biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, excisional biopsy, lumpectomy, and mastectomy, while coordinating multidisciplinary care for cancer patients. Participate in breast cancer tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives aligned with recognized standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, diagnosis, and surgical treatment for breast conditions (benign lumps, pain/discomfort, nipple discharge, retractions, areolar changes, and breast cancer stages)
• Perform biopsies and surgical procedures: core biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, excisional biopsy, lumpectomy, mastectomy
• Coordinate with oncology, radiology, plastic surgery, and genetic counseling for cancer cases
• Participate in breast cancer tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives (e.g., Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers)
• Teach or mentor other medical professionals
