Description

Outpatient OB/GYN physician position responsible for diagnosing and treating gynecological conditions through examinations, diagnostic testing, and patient counseling. You will prescribe medications as appropriate, help patients manage menopause and perimenopause symptoms, and identify potential malignant tumors within the female reproductive system. The role emphasizes staying current with advances in gynecology, communicating clearly, and maintaining doctor-patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual and regular gynecological examinations to diagnose conditions

• Record and update patients’ medical histories

• Advise patients on suitable birth control options

• Conduct diagnostic tests including Pap smears, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone profile blood tests, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies

• Explain test results, diagnoses, and treatment options to patients

• Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries such as cervical cryosurgery, dilation and curettage, pelvic laparoscopies, and sterilizations

• Refer patients to other healthcare specialists when needed

• Educate patients on reproductive health issues and disease prevention

Requirements

• MD or DO degree

• State license to practice medicine

• American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certification

• Proven experience working as a gynecologist

• Ability to make quick decisions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills

• Empathetic and compassionate
