Description

You will provide continuum quality routine patient care and rehabilitation in a nursing home setting, delivering general practice evaluation and management across a variety of conditions. Responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, and treating patients; maintaining accurate medical documentation; ordering and analyzing tests and imaging; prescribing care plans; vaccinating patients; and advising on prevention, diet, and hygiene. You will also consult specialists and refer patients within the network when needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
• Ensure quality-of-care expectations are fulfilled
• Diagnose and treat a variety of diseases in general practice
• Conduct patient examinations using medical instruments and equipment
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information
• Document history (past medical, family, social), review of systems, medications, allergies, assessment, and plan
• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging
• Analyze reports/findings and diagnose conditions
• Administer or prescribe treatments
• Order lab and imaging tests to support immediate treatment planning
• Vaccinate patients for communicable-disease prevention
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention methods
• Consult appropriate medical specialists and refer patients within the network

Requirements

• Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university
• New York State licensure
• Board eligible and/or board certified
• Demonstrated clinical excellence
• Nursing home experience strongly preferred
