Description

Provide pediatric primary care, including monitoring growth and development from birth through adolescence, conducting frequent checkups (from birth to age 2, then annually), and delivering preventative care such as vaccine recommendations. Diagnose and treat common childhood ailments and minor injuries, refer patients for further treatment or to specialists when needed, and maintain accurate health records. Communicate patients’ health, nutritional, and fitness needs effectively to guardians.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited United States medical school

• Successful completion of residency (or completed a US residency or 5 year pathway) at an accredited healthcare institution

• Active NY License

• Current New York State Medical Practitioner License

• Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing

• Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting

• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating to ensure positive patient experiences

• Bilingual Spanish preferred
