Description

The EV Backend Product Lead coordinates the Customer Support function and acts as the operational coordinator for day-to-day development activities. The role bridges Customer Support, Development, Operations, and business stakeholders across multiple locations while aligning energy business product requirements to EV backend solutions, including maintaining and improving the Toyota Home Charge solution. You will also monitor stakeholder needs, analyze data with actionable recommendations, drive quality/performance improvements, and follow up on rollout of new functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact between Customer Support, Development, Operations, and business stakeholders

• Understand business requirements for EV backend energy business products (e.g., Private charge, V1G, and other energy products) and the overall TME energy strategy

• Map current and future requirements to energy business products within EV backend

• Maintain and improve the Toyota Home Charge solution

• Manage TME requirements toward suppliers (Customer Support, new product development)

• Understand solution architecture and dependencies across the TME landscape

• Monitor stakeholder needs (including NMSCs and retailers where needed) and propose improvements to TME management

• Analyze data and share concrete action plans in regular reports to higher management

• Follow up on rollout of new functionalities

• Improve overall quality and performance

Requirements

• Analytical, detail-oriented, accurate; strong critical thinking

• Clear written and verbal communication; effective meeting facilitation

• Team player able to work in a high-performance environment

• Comfort discussing APIs, databases, logging, and monitoring

• Proficiency with Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, and Office 365 (Teams, Outlook); familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts

• Process modeling and workflow analysis; ability to translate data into actionable insights

• Basic data analysis and visualization

• Fluent in English
