Description

You will own and evolve the backend search and relevance product area—from idea and design through implementation and deployment. The role focuses on solving complex, sometimes unstructured problems around how companies and services are found and ranked to match user needs. You’ll use data analysis, prototyping, and experimentation to improve results quality, while presenting outcomes and guiding implementation with clear requirements for developers.

Responsibilities

• Own the search product area (backend) from idea to deployment

• Formulate solutions to ambiguous, unstructured problems

• Analyze data and make decisions based on it

• Improve catalog search and relevance; prototype and test different approaches

• Measure and evaluate impact using A/B testing and staged rollouts via feature flags

• Present and discuss results with colleagues

• Provide product leadership: write concise, understandable specs for developers and oversee correct implementation and completion

Requirements

• Take ownership of the product area end-to-end (analyze, propose, advocate, validate impact)

• At least basic Python knowledge and comfort working with data

• At least basic understanding of machine learning

• Work independently, prioritize, and drive tasks to completion

• Curiosity, analytical thinking, and desire to experiment

• Good communication and organizational skills
