Description

You will own and evolve the search/ranking product area from idea and solution design through to deployment. The role is centered on improving relevance: working with data, ranking logic, and result quality, and deciding based on analytical evidence. You will prototype and test approaches, measure impact using A/B testing and feature flags, and communicate requirements and results to developers.

Responsibilities

• Own the search product area (backend) end-to-end: from concept to design to deployment
• Define solutions for problems that are sometimes ill-structured
• Analyze data and make decisions based on it
• Improve search and relevance; prototype and test different approaches
• Measure and evaluate impact (A/B testing, feature-flagged gradual rollout); present and discuss outcomes with colleagues
• Lead product delivery for the scope: write clear requirements for developers and oversee correct implementation and completion

Requirements

• Ability to independently take ownership of an area: analyze, propose, push, and verify impact
• Basic Python knowledge and comfort working with data
• Basic knowledge of machine learning
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and finish tasks
• Curiosity, analytical thinking, and desire to experiment
• Good communication and organizational skills
