Description

Senior IT Project Manager to support a long-term project in the data management domain of a large international financial organization. This role combines IT project management with data quality governance, focusing on triaging and resolving data quality issues, prioritizing a backlog, driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to closure, and improving governance and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the Data Quality Governance / Data Quality Issue Management process

• Run triage meetings and coordinate activities across multiple teams and domains

• Manage and prioritize the data quality issue backlog

• Monitor ticket ownership, progress, dependencies, and resolution

• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure issues are followed through to closure

• Manage priorities, risks, dependencies, and escalations

• Drive accountability across involved teams and stakeholders

• Identify and implement structural process improvements

• Improve intake, prioritization, issue clustering, and closure processes

• Identify opportunities for process automation

• Prepare transparent management reporting on progress, risks, ownership, and backlog

• Cooperate with business, data, and technology stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including IT Project Management

• Practical experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Data Quality Issue Management

• Experience owning or coordinating governance processes rather than only participating

• Experience in backlog and triage management

• Practical experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

• Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to coordinate multiple teams/domains

• Experience in prioritization, dependency management, and escalation

• Experience in management-level reporting

• Strong ownership and ability to drive accountability across teams

• Very good command of English

Nice to have

• Experience in the banking or financial sector

• Knowledge of Data Management / Data Warehouse environments

• Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments
