Description

Lead the design and build of a brand-new system for processing insurance claims/settlements. You will create the platform from scratch with an agentic coding approach in a distributed microservices architecture, define technical direction and standards, and ensure code quality plus operational and security requirements. You will also support the team through development, deployment, and stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Design a new claims/settlements handling system and document the system architecture
• Build the system from scratch using agentic coding in a distributed microservices architecture
• Participate in feasibility analyses and implementation assumptions
• Define system development direction; ensure technology standards and code quality
• Estimate engineering effort and resource requirements for architectural and development tasks
• Assign developer tasks, supervise implementation, conduct code reviews, and create technical documentation
• Ensure operational and security requirements are met
• Provide development support during development, deployment, and stabilization

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance domain (preferably claims domain)
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and overseeing system architecture
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring
• Ability to design scalable, secure, fault-tolerant distributed architectures
• Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices
• Experience with cloud work and infrastructure automation
• Ability to conduct code reviews, mentoring, and architecture workshops
• Experience co-creating technology roadmaps and evaluating risks
• Experience with end-to-end observability
• Practical knowledge of API governance
• Practical knowledge of DDD
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture
• English proficiency level B2 or higher
• Ability to provide services from within Poland
