Description

You will act as Tech Lead in a Scrum team, supporting the team, defining the technical direction, and making architectural decisions.

The role combines active Java development (about 75% of the time) with designing and evolving system and microservice architectures, integrating systems via APIs, and ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

You will partner with the Product Owner and business to clarify requirements, set technical standards (coding, architecture, integrations), run code reviews, mentor developers, and collaborate with other Scrum teams, architecture, DevOps, and integration stakeholders. Cloud (preferably Azure) and Agentic AI/AI in the development process are also part of the work.

Responsibilities

• Tech Lead leadership in a Scrum team: team support, technical direction, architectural decisions

• Active implementation of business requirements in Java

• Design and development of system and microservice architectures

• Translate requirements with Product Owner and business into technical solutions

• Set and enforce technical standards (coding, architecture, integrations)

• Run code reviews and ensure code/solution quality

• Mentor and grow developers’ competencies

• Support the team in resolving technical problems

• Design and oversee system integrations and APIs

• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of solutions

• Cross-team collaboration (other Scrum teams, architecture, DevOps, integrations)

• Participate in technology decisions and risk assessment

• Use cloud in solutions (preferably Azure)

• Use Agentic AI/AI in the development process (automation, productivity)

Requirements

• Very good Java knowledge confirmed by practical production experience (active coding ~75% of the time)

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building web systems

• Experience building microservice architectures and distributed systems

• Very good knowledge of architectural and integration patterns, API design and system integration, including DDD (Domain-Driven Design)

• Practical knowledge of relational databases (SQL, query optimization), Event-Driven Architecture, and end-to-end observability

• Experience with code review, mentoring, and leading a technical team

• Experience in cross-team collaboration and co-creating technology decisions and risk assessments

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• English proficiency at least B2

Preferred

• Basic or practical cloud knowledge (preferably Azure)

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps

• Knowledge of Agentic AI/AI in SDLC (using AI in development, automation, and support for architectural decisions)
