• Role: Technical Lead (hybrid)

• Location: Warsaw (3 days/week in office)

• Compensation: 1280–1600 PLN net/day (depending on experience)

Description

You will design and build a new Insurance Claims (Damage Reporting) system from scratch, including defining and documenting its architecture. The role focuses on delivering a microservices-based distributed architecture with modern software engineering practices and leading engineering quality through code reviews, mentoring, and architecture workshops. You will also support technology planning, feasibility analyses, observability, and API governance.

Responsibilities

• Design the new Insurance Claims system end-to-end, defining and documenting the architecture

• Build and evolve a microservices distributed architecture using modern software development practices, including agentic coding

• Participate in feasibility analyses and define delivery assumptions for new initiatives

• Set the direction for the system’s technological development and ensure architectural standards and code quality

• Estimate development and architecture work; define required project resources

• Coordinate developers, assign tasks, run code reviews, and oversee implementation quality

• Create and maintain technical and architectural documentation

• Ensure security, performance, and operational requirements are met

• Support the team during development, deployments, and stabilization of production systems

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver modern solutions for the insurance sector

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the insurance industry (damage/claims handling preferred)

• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring

• Experience with scalable, secure, highly available distributed microservices architectures

• Experience with architectural/integration patterns and API design

• Experience with cloud solutions and infrastructure automation

• Ability to conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and lead architecture workshops

• Experience creating technology roadmaps and assessing technical risks

• End-to-end observability and monitoring experience for distributed systems

• Knowledge of API Governance rules and practical implementation

• Practical Domain-Driven Design (DDD) experience

• Experience designing and implementing Event-Driven Architecture
