• Role: Tech Lead / System Architect

• Work mode: Hybrid (3 days/week in Warsaw)

Description

You will help design and build a new insurance-claims handling system from the ground up. This role combines solution architecture ownership with day-to-day support for the development team through mentoring, code reviews, and architectural guidance. You will contribute to a modern environment based on microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design the new claims system and document the solution architecture

• Build the system using distributed microservices architecture

• Perform feasibility analyses and define architectural and technical assumptions

• Set the system’s development direction, ensure technology standards, and maintain delivery quality

• Estimate effort for architectural and development tasks to support project planning

• Assign tasks to developers, lead code reviews, mentor, and support the team’s daily work

• Ensure security, reliability, and operational requirements are met

• Support development, deployments, and stabilization of delivered solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and overseeing system architecture

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry (claims domain experience is preferred)

• Very strong Java and Spring Framework knowledge

• Experience designing scalable, secure, fault-tolerant distributed systems

• Very strong knowledge of architectural and integration patterns and modern system design practices

• Practical Domain-Driven Design (DDD) knowledge

• Experience designing Event-Driven Architecture solutions

• Practical API Governance knowledge

• Experience with end-to-end observability

• Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure automation

• Ability to run code reviews, mentoring, and architecture workshops

• Experience creating technology roadmaps and assessing technical risks

• English at least B2

• Ability to provide services from within Poland
