Description

You will design a new system from scratch for processing claims/settlements in an insurance domain and document the architecture. The solution will be built using a distributed microservices approach and the Agentic Coding approach. You will lead architectural direction, support development through reviews and mentoring, and ensure security, reliability, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and document a new claims/settlement processing system from the ground up

• Architect and develop a distributed microservices solution using Agentic Coding

• Contribute to feasibility analyses and define technical and delivery assumptions

• Define the system’s development direction and co-create the technology roadmap

• Set and enforce architectural and technological standards, including security and delivery quality

• Design scalable, fault-tolerant, secure distributed architectures

• Estimate engineering and architecture effort and required resources

• Assign development tasks and supervise implementation work

• Lead code review, mentoring, and support for developers

• Run architecture workshops and collaborate with business and technical teams

• Create and maintain technical and architectural documentation

• Ensure requirements for security, reliability, and operational readiness are met

• Support the team during development, deployment, and stabilization

• Identify and assess technical risks and make architectural decisions

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and supervising system architecture

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance domain (preferably claims/settlement)

• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring/Spring Boot

• Experience designing and developing scalable, secure, fault-tolerant distributed systems

• Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices

• Experience designing and working with microservices architecture

• Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture

• Practical knowledge of API Governance

• Experience building and maintaining end-to-end observability

• Experience working with cloud and infrastructure automation

• Ability to conduct code reviews, mentoring, and architecture workshops

• Experience co-creating technology roadmaps and assessing risks

• English language proficiency at least B2

• Availability for hybrid work: minimum 3 days per week in the office

• Ability to provide services from the territory of Poland
