Description

Experienced Solution Architect/Java Architect needed to participate in building a new system from the ground up to support the insurance claims submission process. The role combines architecture design with technical oversight of development, shaping the solution’s direction, technology standards, and a scalable microservices environment. You will also use modern tools to support the software manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Design the architecture for the new system and prepare technical documentation

• Co-create the solution from scratch using distributed microservices architecture

• Use an agentic coding approach during software development

• Analyze options for new solutions and prepare technical assumptions

• Set the architecture development direction and ensure technology standard consistency

• Estimate the scope of developer and architectural work, as well as needed resources

• Coordinate technical tasks and supervise the implementation process

• Conduct code reviews and ensure delivered code quality

• Create and evolve architectural and technical documentation

• Ensure scalability, security, fault tolerance, and operational requirements

• Support the development team during implementation, deployments, and stabilization

• Contribute to technology roadmaps and identify architectural risks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in claims handling

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing system architectures and overseeing their delivery

• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring

• Experience designing scalable, secure, fault-tolerant distributed systems

• Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration approaches

• Experience with cloud solutions and infrastructure automation

• Ability to conduct code reviews, mentoring, and architectural workshops

• Experience co-creating technology roadmaps and assessing risks

• Practical knowledge of end-to-end observability

• Experience with API governance

• Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture

• English proficiency at least B2

Nice to have

• Experience with Agentic SDLC approach for software development

• Knowledge of multi-cloud environment-based strategies and solutions

• Advanced practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Ability to consider and optimize cloud service costs

• Experience in designing and implementing organization-level technology standards
